<image:title>Blog - Prepping the Garden for Snow - Low Shrubs and Smaller. With a large snow, it is important to protect the plants that will be under the snow from foot traffic. I know my kids and their friends will be making snowmen and sledding so marking the beds is a good idea. I use T-stakes and bamboo poles to mark bed locations. I’m marking mine today as my ground isn’t frozen.</image:title>
<image:caption>Snow=Snowmen though I’m pro-snowman making, I don’t want them made on top of the pansies. I’ve put out T-stakes to mark the beds.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This plan is the second option for the homeowner and also includes the white #57 stone. The path provides erosion control as well as a stable walking surface. The area surrounding the path is amended and dry shade plants are planted.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Stories - Erosion Control on a Budget</image:title>
<image:caption>Based on the client's budget, we choose to install plantings at a later date. But, look at the green lawn! An added bonus to slowing down water is that it has more time to naturally absorb into the ground. Rain from impervious surfaces that is diverted into a storm drain does not replenish our aquifer and does cause erosion downstream.</image:caption>
